Kumasi Asante Kotoko has entered into an agreement with kit sponsor Jako for the coming season.
The management of the club has signed documents to that effect to improve upon the club’s kit for the new league season.
Kotoko officials met management of Jako in Germany on their two week tour to chart out new direction for the club.
The new relationship dispels rumours hat Kotoko were planning to abandon Jako for Puma. Although details of the meeting between the two parties were sketchy it, is understood that Kotoko officials are happy with the deal.
The deal is yet to be made public but officials of Kotoko are bent on disclosing all details of the deal in a separate meeting in Ghana.
Jako has been the kit sponsor for Kotoko for the past three years but the two were reported to have strained their relationship following Jako's inability to comply with Kotoko’s requirement.
The German sportswear manufacturers were part of the organisers of Kotoko's pre-season training tour to Germany.
Sylvester Asare Owusu, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IM C) who introduced Jako during his first spell at Kotoko in 2001 is alleged to be excited about the new offer.
Meanwhile Kotoko would arrive today from Germany after a two week pre season tour to condition them for the new league season.
Although Kotoko did not win in all six games, head coach Bashiru Hayford is reportedly impressed with the commitment level of his team.
