The Vice president Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has assured children at the Osu Children’s home of government’s commitment to improving their wellbeing and development.
He said his government’s performance will ultimately be determined by how well it improves the lives of the poor and the vulnerable in the society.
Dr Bawumia said this when he joined children and management of the Osu orphanage to celebrate Christmas.
The vice president donated some food items and an amount of 10,000 Ghana cedis cash as his gift for Christmas to the children.
“On behalf of the president I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

“It is at moments like these that we think about the purpose and the true meaning of what these celebrations are.
It is about reflecting on those who are less fortunate than us. Those who feel very excluded…”
“So we are here to wish you a Merry Christmas,” he said.
He also pledged his government’s continued support for the poor and privileged in the society.
This is the second visit by the vice president to the Osu Children's home.
Head of the institution, Christian Addo was grateful to the vice president for his commitment and the kind gesture.
