The National Service Authority (NSA) has set Friday, August 14, as the deadline for defaulters and private candidates to apply for PIN codes for the 2026/2027 national service year.

The exercise is open to Ghanaian citizens who completed tertiary education but could not enrol in the National Service Programme in previous years.

In a statement, the NSA said eligible applicants include private candidates whose academic credentials have been certified by accredited tertiary institutions and Ghanaian citizens who studied abroad.

Applicants must complete the online registration process and submit all required documents to the NSA office by the deadline.

“Applicants are therefore strongly encouraged to complete their online registration and submit all required documents at the NSA office on or before the deadline,” the statement said.

The exercise gives eligible graduates who missed previous enrolment periods an opportunity to regularise their participation in the mandatory national service programme.

The Authority reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who completes an accredited tertiary institution is required to undertake national service.

“The public is advised to take advantage of this final opportunity and ensure that all required documents are submitted before the deadline,” the statement concluded.
