In yet another judgment debt controversy story, Attorney General Dr. Benjamin Kumbuor and Minority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu have been trading accusations over which government is to blame for the 94 million euro paid to Construction Pioneers.
The matter is pending before Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee which earlier in the year summoned former AGs Betty Mould Iddrisu and Joe Ghartey to help unravel the truth.
Dr. Kumbuor who was speaking on Uniq FM, criticized the NPP’s insistence on the NDC’s complicity when their administration was first to admit such liability a day before exiting office.
But Minority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu disagreed, questioning why the NDC entered into the CP contract a day before the 2000 elections.
