Kessben Media, the operators of Kessben FM, have suspended one of its presenters, Rexford Kwadwo Adu Ntim, popularly known as DJ K.A, following the circulation of an intimate video on social media.

The company has also launched an internal investigation into the incident.

In a statement issued on July 24, 2026, the management of Kessben Media said it "does not condone such acts" and dissociated its brand from the actions of the staff member involved. 

The company confirmed that DJ K.A has been asked to stay off duty while the inquest is ongoing, and that he would receive counselling, rehabilitation, and legal assistance where necessary to help him cope with the ensuing trauma.

The media organisation further appealed to the public to refrain from sharing the sensitive material, citing cybersecurity implications and existing laws governing the possession and circulation of such content. 

The public has been assured that the company will not shield any person found to be complicit in the situation.

Graphic Online understands from sources in Kumasi that a pendrive containing several personal recorded intimate videos of DJ K.A., separate from what had already been circulated on social media, has been forwarded to the management of Kessben, following which the management has taken the decision for the DJ to stay away from work for some time.

DJ K.A had earlier issued a public apology, taking full responsibility for recording the video but denying that he intentionally circulated it.

"I take full responsibility for my actions. Recording the video was a serious error in judgment, and I deeply regret the decision that led to this unfortunate incident," he stated. 

He also described the footage as a "part of my past" recorded four years ago and asked for forgiveness from his family, fans, and the general public.

Meanwhile, Kumasi-based radio presenter Ama Parone, who has been linked to the video, has also issued a public apology, confirming her appearance in the footage but describing it as part of a past she is not proud of. 

She also spoke warmly of DJ K.A, referring to him as a mentor who shaped her career and expressing hope that he would emerge stronger from the controversy.
