Upper West Regional Minister, Alhassan Sulemana, has received a hero’s welcome in the capital, Wa, after returning from Accra where he met the President on is reinstatement.
Mr Sulemana was suspended by President Nana Akufo-Addo after the former was accused of making the police release some loyalists of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), who were picked up for vandalizing the offices of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).
Mr Sulemana was reinstated by the President last week after investigations into the matter were complete.
In interview with Joy News, Mr Sulemana said among other lessons, he has learnt not to meddle in unofficial matters.

Addressing the media and party faithful who had gathered to welcome him, Mr Sulemana promised not to allow the sad episode to distract him.
“We want to assure the President that, this incident will not in any way affect our ability to work and work loyally for him,” he said.
Mr Sulemana also promised to work and help the President to achieve his vision of a ‘Ghana beyond aid’.
