Four clubs will go into action on Tuesday in search of the single premiership slot made vacant after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) disqualified a number of clubs from participating in the Premier League for engaging in fixed matches during the National Middle League.
The four 'lucky' clubs are Fair Point, Seven United, Kade Hotpurs and Zaytuna FC.
The clubs drawn from the Zone 3A and B will engage in an all play all system with the club earning the highest mark picking up the single slot.
Kwame Ntow Fiakoo, Chairman of the Division One League Board explained that Fair Point, Seven United, Kade Hotspurs and Zaytuna placed third and fourth at their respective Zone 3A and B, hence they have been given the mandate to compete following the disqualification of their respective group winners.
The penalised clubs are Nania FC, Mighty Jets, Okwahu United and Great Mariners.
According to the pairings, Fair Point will take on Seven United at the El-Wak Stadium, whilst Hotspurs battles Zaytuna at the Legon Park.
The competition will continue on Thursday, October 4, with the final matches fixed for Saturday, October 6.
The overall winner will join Kessben FC and Wa All Stars for the 2007/2008 premiership, which is expected to commence by the close of October.
