The latest addition to the growing family of sports associations in the Ghana, the Beach Sports Association will be launched on Friday at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
A statement issued by Albert Frimpong, Director of Operations said the latest addition to the sports family is a cocktail of sports, which combines sporting disciplines like Volleyball, Bossaball, Tug-of-War and Beach soccer.
The statement said beach sports has the potential of taking the nation by storm because it is a fusion of several exciting sporting disciplines played on the sea sand accompanied by the soothing breeze of the sea.
Mr Frimpong said all over the world, the beach sports magic has swept millions of fans off their feet and commands huge television audience from all over the world.
The statement said Brazil, the home of the current world champions in beach soccer, has added the latest craze to traditional football and it is time for Ghana to embrace this new exciting phenomena.
