A 'repented' dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has rendered an unqualified apology to events outfit Charter House for descending heavily on them after he failed to win the 'Reggae Dance Hall Song of the Year' award at the 2013 Ghana Music Awards.

The self-professed 'Dancehall King', born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, in May this year accused Charter House, organizers of the annual Ghana Music Awards, of illegally awarding the 'Reggae Dance Hall Song of the Year' award to Kaakie.

After Kaakie was announced winner of that category which also had Bandana (Shatta Wale), Blakk Rasta, Eazzy, Knii Lante and Samini as contenders, Shatta Wale took to social media platform, Twitter, to vent his anger at the organizers.

As if that was not enough, Shatta Wale released a song - Letter to Charter House - to further jab the events outfit.

After seven months of bad blood, Shatta Wale, during his performance at the 2013 Ghana Rocks (GH Rocks) concert at the Accra International Conference Centre in the wee hours of Saturday, publicly apologized to Charter House.

Five minutes into his performance, the dancehall artiste performed a short version of his 'Letter to Charter House' and then invited George Quaye of Charter House to join him on stage.

Then to the surprise of the thousands who were upstanding at the venue, Shatta Wale said, "I want you to bear with me that in this industry we love ourselves and we love Ghana. I really want to apologize to Charter House because I never knew they love me so much... I just want to say I'm sorry."

"Tell them Shatta Wale sorry not that I want an award but I feel we have to continue. I love you people," he added.

A stunned George Quaye in a reaction said, "You know, I think this is a big surprise and is one of the matured things I've seen this gentleman do. Ladies and gentlemen, two fingers up in the air for Shatta Wale. We accept your apology" and with a hug they sealed their 'union'.

Apart from Shatta Wale, this year's GH Rocks also witnessed exciting performances from several renowned acts including, Kaakie, Dee Money, M.anifest, E.L., Eazzy, Edem, Joey B, Sarkodie, Charsey, R2Bees, and 4x4.

BBC's Tim Westwood and Joy FM's DJ Black also manned the turntables.
