Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has reiterated he has no problems with Ghana legend Abedi Pele, after the maestro expressed disappointment in the coach over the decision to exclude his sons from the squad to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Abedi Pele sparked fresh controversy over the issue by speaking for the first time saying he is disappointed in the trainer for the AFCON decision Appiah took over Andre and Jordan Ayew.
But coach Appiah is refusing to be drawn into the debate and insists the focus should be on the cracker against the Nile Crocodiles of Sudan as he has no problems with Abedi.
“I’m surprised to hear those words came from him but we should be focus on the game against Sudan.I have no problems with Abedi Pele. I went to his house three times last year.I go to his office, we have a chat and then I leave for my house.Even when I was in London, I was calling him and so as far as I’m concerned there is no problem between us.We’re seriously preparing for the game against Sudan and that’s where the focus should be".Appiah told Happy FM.
Andre and Jordan decided to withdraw their services from the Black Stars last month citing several reasons.
Midfielder Andre claimed his relationship with some management members had deteriorated while striker Jordan wanted security over his national team place.
