Abonten Walks, an initiative that combines corporate wellness with environmental stewardship, is set to return to Shai Hills Resource Reserve on December 6, 2025, for its fourth edition of the year.
Organized by Nviron Hive and LFY Arena, the event will see 100 participants engage in a series of activities designed to promote fitness, environmental awareness, and community engagement.
This year, Greenwood Supplies Services and Maverick Research have joined as key partners, reflecting growing corporate interest in wellness and sustainability.

“Supporting Abonten Walks is an investment in Ghana's future,” CEO of Greenwood Supplies Services, Akwasi Boateng, said.
“When businesses, communities, and conservation unite, we create lasting change for both our economy and environment.”
The December 6 event will include an educational hike through Shai Hills’ landscapes, a ceremonial sod-cutting for a new 150-person picnic area, African aerobics, and eco-games.

Organizers say that these activities align with Ghana’s UN Sustainable Development Goals on Climate Action and Life on Land.
Abonten Walks has steadily gained traction within Ghana’s corporate sector.
“The evidence is clear: wellness and environmental engagement deliver measurable benefits for individuals and organizations,” CEO of Maverick Research, Ato Micah, said.
“Abonten Walks delivers both, and corporate Ghana is taking notice.”

For Nviron Hive, the growing support validates a vision years in the making.
“Corporate Ghana is stepping up, communities are mobilizing, and we’re scaling something truly transformative,” said Co-Founder Otema Yirenkyi.
“This is just the beginning.”
As the initiative looks ahead to 2026, Abonten Walks is inviting organizations and individuals committed to a greener, healthier Ghana to join the movement and help shape its next chapter.
