Nigeria Premier League side Enyimba FC goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been invited to join the Black Stars camp in the United Arab Emirates.
This is to step up preparations for 2017 Africa Cup of Nations following the injury to Norway-based shot-stopper Adam Kwarasey.
Dauda was excluded from the 26-man provisional squad despite training with the team for a week at the St. Aquinas school park as Grant selected Adam Kwarasey, Razak Brimah, and Richard Ofori.
However, Dauda has been recalled to replace not fully fit Kwarasey.
Grant decided to include Kwarasey in his provisional list hoping that the Rosenborg goalkeeper will recover in time to make the squad.
Dauda comes with the wealth of experience having featured at two tournaments including 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup in 2014.
He is expected to arrive in Al Ain before Black Stars holds its second training later on Wednesday.
