The management and staff of Africa Environmental Sanitation Consult (AfES Consult) and Zoomlion Ghana Limited have participated in Amanokrom's events for Odwira on September 30.
AfES Consult is a firm in Ghana that provides consultancy services, research, project management, engineering design in the environment, sanitation and health space.

In an interview with the Managing Director of AfES Consult, Dr Abena Asomaning, she mentioned that their participation in the festival was to extend their good wishes to the Amanokrom community in this new year and also enhance industry-academia-community collaboration.

AfES Consult in partnership with Zoomlion Ghana Limited donated items which included waste bins, schnapps and an undisclosed sum of money to the chief and people of Amanokrom.

She further stated that, Nana Awuku Sakyi (Akyempemhene of Amanokrom and Mpuntuhene of Akuapem) approached AfES Consult to support the community with environmental sanitation training and other initiatives to help manage waste better in the community.

This project will address critical waste management issues in Amanokrom and Mamfe. She also stated that the project will be implemented by AfES Consult, subsidiaries of Jospong Group, Zoomlion Ghana Limited and in partnership with University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD).

“The success of this project would pave way for possible replication in the other communities in and outside the Eastern region”, she said.
