Ahly's Premier League game against Wadi Degla, which was due to take place on 9 November, has been postponed to give Egypt more time to prepare for a crucial African Nations Cup qualifier, the Egyptian Football Association said on Friday.
Egypt will face Senegal in a make-or-break clash of their qualifying campaign on 14 November.
"We contacted the EFA president and he agreed to delay the Ahly vs. Wadi Degla game to allow Ahly's players to link up with the national team and prepare for the Senegal clash," said Amer Hussein, head of the association's competitions committee.
"The national team's preparatory camp for Senegal game starts on 6 November," he added.
The Pharaohs are third in Group G with six points, one behind second-placed Senegal and four adrift of leaders Tunisia with two matches remaining.
Ahly had their opening three league matches postponed due to their African Confederation Cup commitments. Their only match saw them slump to a stunning 2-1 defeat by minnows Ragaa.
