The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Akufo Addo is promising prosperity, progress and massive development in his second term as President if given the nod come December 7.
According to him, a solid foundation has been laid ready for a smooth take-off for the development of Ghana which will transform the lives of the citizenry.
“In the next term, we will be constructing the house of prosperity, of progress, and of development for our nation.”
President Akufo-Addo made this revelation on separate rallies at Mpohor, Agona Nkwanta and Tarkwa on his Western regional tour.
Addressing a durbar, he indicated that, any attempt to change the government will retard the progress of the country.
He explained that the social intervention programs which were introduced by his government have since rescued the economy from mismanagement of the previous government.
He, however, refuted the assertion that the former President John Mahama introduced the Free Senior High School programme and accused him of running a deceitful campaign which led to his defeat in the 2016 elections.
“In recent times, he (Mahama) has been running his campaign with deceit telling Ghanaians he introduced the free SHS. This is why Ghanaians voted you out of office. Mahama’s campaign has fallen flat."
His comment comes on the hills after Mr Mahama said the Free SHS program was started by the NDC government in 2015.
He, therefore, appealed to the residents living in and around the environs of the Western Region to vote massively for the NPP party.
