Wa All Stars came from behind to beat debutants Sporting Mirren 2-1 in their week three league clash at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Thursday.
The loss was Mirren’s third successive loss in the elite division; they are debuting and firmly keep them at the depth of the 16-club standings pointless.
Mirren, who showed much prospect in their opening clash against Hearts of Oak three weeks ago, displayed an ordinary performance which saw them taste their second home loss.
Starlet striker Mahatma Otoo fired the debutants into the lead
in the 11th minute with a spectacular shot from an acute range after captain Lawrence Adjah Tetteh had laid a pass onto his path.
But their joy was cut short 12 minutes later when Bawa Mohamed tapped home the equalizer from close range.
The visitors appeared dangerous on the counter and were deservedly rewarded with the second goal four minutes from half time.
Former Great Olympics captain, Francis Mantey finished off a well-rehearsed move initiated by midfielder Isaac Ofori.
The second half was a ding-dong affair as both sides failed to make the best of the scoring chances that came their way.
