Ghanaian defender Andy Yiadom has signed a one-year contract extension with Reading FC, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2026.
The Royals captain, who joined the side in 2018, has made over 200 appearances in Reading colours.
Despite an injury-hit 2024/25 campaign, Yiadom has now fully recovered and is eager to return to full action as pre-season preparations ramp up.
Club Chairman Rob Couhig praised the veteran full-back’s professionalism during his rehabilitation. “The last year of rehab was tough, but Andy showed true commitment, supported his teammates, and remained focused. He’s ready to go, and we’re excited to have him leading our push next season,” Couhig said.
First Team Manager Noel Hunt also said: “Yids is a huge presence for us. Though last season was difficult for him, he bounced back well and looks sharp heading into pre-season,” Hunt noted.
