Defender Abdul Rahim Ayew, son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele, is among the three players handed a late call-up to the local Black Stars.
Ayew, who plays for Eleven Wise, was given the late invite by coach Milovan Rajevac along with Black Satellites impressive midfielder Gladson Awako and Hearts of Oak's Obed Ansah.
The Serbian coach called 40 players earlier this week for next month's African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Ivory Coast.
But the three players were handed late invitation following their recent impressive performance for either club or country as in the case of Awako.
Rahim becomes the second son of Abedi Pele to play for the Black Stars after his junior brother Dede Ayew is already a player of the Black Stars.
The defender had already played for various junior national teams before his invitation to the Black Stars.
Rahim is on loan from his father club’s Nania to Eleven Wise and his impressive showing in the Ghanaian top flight attracted interest from the national team handlers.
The likely invitation of Jordan, the last son of Abedi Pele, is one the cards to complete a clean sweep for the legend's family.
But the family’s only daughter Imani has ruled out playing football insisting she has interest in tennis.
