A Senior Manager of the St. Dominic Hospital at Akwatia in the Eastern Region has been interdicted by the management of the facility.

The official, Daniel Augustine Bimpong is said to be a former administrator at the hospital and the one who altered the appointment details.

He has been transferred to a different facility awaiting the result of ongoing investigations into the matter.

The issue of pay fraud came to public knowledge following Joynews’ expose in which some accountants at the hospital fraudulently backdated salaries of newly recruited staff.

A document intercepted by Joy News' Kwetey Nartey revealed the four have been asked to step aside pending investigations.

The four; Yaw Opoku Agyei, Emmanuel Amanie, Samuel Owusu Saforo and recent interdicted Daniel Augustine Bimpong have been restricted from engaging in any duties effective 28th June 2016.

The memo also advised the staff to desist from any official engagement with the four.

Mr Bimpong's interdiction was necessitated by the discovery of some anomaly found in the salary of hospital management.

The hospital is reported to have written to the Controller and Accountant General requesting to be involved in the investigations.

The controller and accountant general had been paying about 36 workers at least eight months ahead their start date.
