The Member of Parliament for the Asuogyaman, Thomas Apem Nyarko has launched an educational programme dubbed " Let's Read Together " at the Senchi Methodist Primary school to inculcate and promote the habits of reading in pupils across the constituency.

Addressing the gathering at the programme, the MP said, he will visit some schools regularly in the constituency to read with them.

According to him, he will continue to support in shaping the lives of the future leaders by providing the needed contusive environment and materials to promote learning in the Constituency.

“I will visit selected schools every Monday to read a passage with pupils after which questions will be asked for the pupils to answer both orally and in writing. I am also grateful to everyone who has come to support this program to become a success" he said.

The MP also doubled the immense initiative with a donation of educational materials such as School Bags, Books, Crayons, Pencils and other learning materials to about 200 beneficiary's from Kindergarten, lower and upper primary pupils.

The donation was supported by a foundation called "Heaven's Relief".

Meanwhile, District Director of Education, Augustina Owusu took the opportunity to thank the MP for his unflinching support to the Constituency towards educational promotions.

The event was graced with dignitaries such as the Chief of Senchi and Nifahene of Akwamu Traditional Area, Nana Ofei Addo Agyeman II and his Sub-chiefs, the District Director of Education, Madam Augustina Owusu and the resident Reverend Minister of the Presbyterian Church, Rev. Elijah Foh Amaning, teachers and some residents in the community.
