Mr. Benito Owusu-Bio, Member of Parliament for the Atwima Nwabiagya Constituency, has said the party was very firm and united contrary to speculations that there was disunity in the constituency.
He has therefore called on supporters of the party in the constituency to close their ranks and resist any attempt by some undesirable elements who wanted to foment trouble within the party.
Mr. Owusu-Bio was addressing chairmen, polling station executives and other party faithful in the constituency at the inauguration of new party offices at Afari near Nkawie. He financed its construction.
He expressed regret that the constituency could not vote at the party's congress last month due to a court injunction but said the members at the constituency level would continue to work tirelessly to ensure victory at election 2008.
Mr. Ben Oduro Frimpong, a leading member of the party in the constituency, called for efforts by members towards the re-election of the Member of Parliament and the New Patriotic Party during the 2008 polls.
