Black Stars new coach, Avram Grant has been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to aid in upgrading standards of local coaches as part of his job as head coach of Ghana.
The former Chelsea manager has signed a 27-month contract with the GFA to become the substantive replacement for Kwesi Appiah.
Grant’s immediate task will be to perform creditably with the Black Stars at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations which kicks off in barely a months’ time in Equatorial Guinea.
However, the 59-year-old has a wider responsibility on the other national teams and will also hold seminars to improve the knowledge of local coaches.
“He has a 27-month contract with the Ghana Football Association which started on December 1. One of the things stated in his contract is to provide technical support to all the national teams.
“He will be based in Ghana to providing technical assistance to all the national teams and also hold refresher courses for our local coaches here,” Ghana FA confirmed.
