Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene will host Ghana’s Black Stars at a dinner on Thursday before facing off with Sudan in a 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Kumasi on Sunday, footy-Ghana.com understands.
The dinner date which is scheduled for the seat and official residence of the Asantehene, the Manhyia Palace will have the entire Black Stars team and handlers at the event.
During the 2013 Afcon, the overlord of the Asante kingdom was supposed to visit the Black Stars in Nelspruit ahead of the semi-finals clash with Burkina Faso in fulfilment of a promise made them but their busy schedule which included the visit of the vice-president of Ghana curtailed the visit.
The Black Stars will now have the opportunity to dine with their number one supporter on the soil of the venue of Sunday’s match.
The Asantehene earlier visited the team ahead of their first game in this World Cup qualifying campaign and they went on thrash Lesotho 7-0 in June last year.
