The Sunyani High Court 3 has sentenced a Techiman businessman popularly known as ‘Kwadwo Cocaine’ to ten days imprisonment for disrespecting its orders.
The judgment, delivered by Justice Patrick Bayere was in retaliation to a move by the suspect, Kwadwo Adjei for continuing to work on a piece of land the court has placed an injunction on.
Speaking to Adom News, Managing Director of ASTA FM, Nana Kyeremase Ansah said the land in question has been in contention since 2018 when his radio station took the matter to court to prevent Mr Adjei from accessing the facility.
The court subsequently placed an injunction on the land so it can conduct further investigations.
Nana Kyeremase Ansah who is also the Techiman Kyeremasa Ankobeahene, said while the court is yet to rule on the issue, Mr Adjei stormed to the site with contractors and some earth moving equipment to work.
This forced the management of the radio station to report him to the court.
He was found guilty of breaching the injunction by Justice Patrick Bayere and sentenced to 10 days imprisonment.
