New champions, Aduana Stars will be presented with the Glo Premier League trophy on Sunday after a Coronation match at their fortress, the Dormaa Park. Aduana will host the Berekum Arsenals, a side they beat 1-0 on the final day to win the league in the special game. The champions will be presented with their medals plus a Tata Xenon four-wheel drive donated by Tata Africa Holdings (Ghana) Limited. Kick off is at 14:00GMT (2:00pm). The league debutants on Wednesday made history in Ghana football by becoming the first club to win the premiership title on their maiden season. A second half strike by Francis Larbi ensured that Aduana grabbed their first silverware after AshantiGold, who were in pole position faltered on the last day, losing 0-1 to a 10-man Chelsea side at the Golden City Park. Despite being level on points with Aduana, 53 apiece, AshantiGold were overhauled to the title via the head-to-head rule as they missed the chance to lift the title for the first time after 14 years.
