Christian Atsu's wife appeared to have managed to keep a straight face while entering the grounds where her husband's funeral is being held at the State House.
Earlier in the day, Marie-Claire Rupio was mobbed by sympathisers as she carried one of her children, flanked by two other kids and her mother.

However, her tipping point was when it was time to deliver her tribute.
Just as she started reading the tribute, she began to shed tears.
An emotional Marie relinquished the tribute to Atsu's sister to continue on her behalf while taking a step back to dry her tears.
Today, family, friends, footballers and top personalities including President Akufo-Addo have gathered to pay their last respect to the late Hatayspor player.
Atsu, 31, was found dead on February 18, 2023, following the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria on February 6, which killed more than 50,000 people in both countries.
