Christians around the world are celebrating Palm Sunday – Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem before his crucifixion. Palm Sunday is a Christian moveable feast that falls on the Sunday before Easter. The feast commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, an event mentioned in all four canonical Gospels. In many Christian churches, Palm Sunday is marked by the distribution of palm leaves to the assembled worshippers. In Rome Pope Francis led a Palm Sunday mass. Joy News’ Francisca Kakra Forson caught up with some children of Bethel Methodist Church who were marching along some streets in Kokomlemle in Accra. Amid drumming and dancing, the leader of the march said the procession involved about 250 children. He added that the day is very significant to Christendom.
