Comedians OB Amponsah and Heiress Jacinta will be Ghana’s first comic acts to appear on the “Lord of the Ribs” festival in Nigeria.
Speaking ahead of the event, comedienne, Heiress Jacinta said it feels good to be recognized and given such a big platform.
OB Amponsah said he was happy that Ghanaian comedy is getting international attention. He urged his colleagues to continuously prove themselves to help open more doors would open for comedy in Ghana.
The 2019 edition of Basketmouth’s annual comedy festival will take place on September 28 and 29.
OB Amponsah and Heiress Jacinta will share the stage numerous comedians across Africa, US and Europe.
American comedian, Tony Roberts, British Got Talent star, Kojo Anim, Senator, and Mpho Popps of South Africa who performed at the Easter Comedy Show in April, hosted by OB Amponsah, will all be present at the show among a host of others.
Heiress Jacinta who hardly thought comedy would be her choice of career has performed at numerous events including Comedy Night with Buchi (Lagos), DKB Point of View, Akwaaba UK Comedy Night, Silverbird Comedy Night and MMC Live along with OB Amponsah.
