The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Betty Mould-Iddrisu has described the Daily Guide newspaper publication which stated that she has been hauled to court as mischievous.The Monday December 6, 2010 edition of the Daily Guide newspaper had a story with the headline, Betty dragged to court over missing $20,000 indicated that the Attorney-General had been sued by two defendants - Albert Anthony Ampong and Adim Odoom - who are challenging an ongoing Civil Service Council investigations into the alleged disbursement of the sum of $20,000 at the Ministry of Youth and Support.In a statement issued on Tuesday, Mrs Betty Mould-Iddrisu said the publication sought to create the impression as though she was being sued in her personal capacity.Mrs. Mould-Iddrisu said even though she is not averse to public scrutiny as a public official, she takes an exception to such derogatory reportage which are designed to tarnish her reputation.She therefore called on the newspaper to retract the story and refrain from such publications.Read the full statement below
