Emirates Airlines has announced the appointment of a new Country Manager for Ghana, Cathy Wesley.
Her appointment takes effect from 1st January, 2018.
In her new position, Miss Wesley will be responsible for the smooth running of the airlines’ business in Ghana, overseeing sales and service functions for the airline's passenger, cargo and airport operations.
She brings an extensive airline experience to the business.
Miss Wesley joined Emirates in 2009 as a Sales Manager Durban and was relocated to Johannesburg in 2014 when Emirates increased its services to the city.
Ms Wesley started her career in South African Airways in 1982 and moved to Lufthansa in South Africa in 2002 as a key account manager.
Commenting on Cathy’s appointment, Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial Operations for Africa said: “We are constantly evolving and growing as a business and this gives our people the chance to grow and develop as well. We are happy to appoint Cathy to this role and wish her every success.”
Cathy Wesley takes over from Hendrik du Preez who moved to Nairobi, Kenya as a Country Manager after 4 years in Ghana.
