Midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh has returned to training with German Bundesliga side SC Freiburg after more than two years out with a serious knee injury.
The Ghana international has been sidelined since the 2022/23 season after suffering a cruciate ligament tear, a setback that limited his involvement with both club and country.
His recovery was further complicated by a number of relapses, prolonging his absence from competitive football.
Kyereh’s return to training marks a significant milestone in his rehabilitation and provides a timely boost for SC Freiburg as they look to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season.

The 28-year-old has been restricted to only 18 appearances for the club since joining from FC St. Pauli.
For Ghana, the midfielder’s comeback is also encouraging news ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled for June, with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo expected to monitor his progress closely as he works his way back to full match fitness.
