The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has directed the site manager of a collapsed building at Roman Ridge to immediately halt all construction activities pending the outcome of investigations.
The incident occurred at the Roman Ridge Engineering Centre, between a 10-storey high-rise apartment and the Ghana Institute of Engineering.
The three-storey structure, reportedly being undertaken by Fabrico Builders, collapsed on Tuesday afternoon.
The GNFS received the distress call at 12:18 p.m., and a rescue team from the National Headquarters, led by ADO II Ankrah, was dispatched to the scene, arriving at 12:29 p.m.

By the time the team arrived, all 14 affected persons — all men — had been rescued and taken to the 37 Military Hospital and the Ridge Hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the victims sustained varying degrees of injuries, but no fatalities had been recorded as of the time of the report.
The cause of the structural collapse remains unknown, and investigations have been launched to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
The GNFS said the site manager has been advised to stop all construction activities until investigations are concluded and to ensure full compliance with safety standards before resuming work.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available, the Service added.
