At least five players from the Ghana team at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) will make the squad when Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac names his team for the 2010 World Cup qualifier against Benin later this month.
Goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy, wing-backs Samuel Inkoom and Harrison Afful as well as Charles Taylor and Rahim Ayew will make squad.
Midfielders Agyemang Badu and Daniel Yeboah are already members of the main Black Stars team.
Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac says these players have gained the experience at the tournament in the Ivory Coast that should make them fit into the main Black Stars team easily.
"These five players can play in any national teams in Africa because of the exceptional qualities they have shown in this tournament," Rajevac told Ghanasoccernet.
"There is also the likelihood that one or two more players from the CHAN would join the team given the injury situation with some key players.
"These CHAN players now understand the strategy and game plan we have adopted that has created many scoring opportunities for us in the CHAN.
"Bringing such players into our main team will bring us enormous benefits and options thus making our bench stronger."
McCarthy, Inkoom, Afful and Taylor will be making returns to the national team as they had previous stints with the main Black Stars squad.
Ayew will be making his debut in the squad if he is indeed handed a place in the squad.
The Black Stars will take on Benin in Accra on 28 March in the opening game of the second phase of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars will now meet DR Congo in the final of the CHAN on Sunday after the Simbas defeated Zambia 2-1 in the other semi-final in Abidjan.
Ghana beat the Congolese 3-0 in their Group A meeting last week.
