Residents in the Ashanti Region capital were wrecked Thursday afternoon by heavy rains as they got ready to wind up activities for the day.
At least one person has been confirmed dead, Joy News' Erastus Asare Donkor has reported. The body of 13-year-old girl identified as Louisa was swept away by the floods at Asabi close to Asokore Mampong. Her body was recovered at Manhyia on Friday morning. Four others in her family have been confirmed dead as well.

Areas such as Airport Roundabout, Dichemso, Buokrom, Paa-Joe stadium, Amakom were all submerged when rains poured for about five hours.
