Football academies and training centres established in the West African sub-region will on Saturday begin competition at the 6th edition of the "Naaba Kango" international solidarity tournament in Ouagadougou and Ouahigouya, Burkina Faso.
According to information gathered on the internet by GNA Sports, three teams from CĂ´te d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso, two from Niger, one team each from Mali, Senegal, Togo, Ghana and Gabon are set for the tournament. They are divided into two groups of 7 teams each.
Group A has Centre de formation Naba Kango (Burkina Faso) - Ecole de football de Port-Gentil (Gabon) - Yeleen football solidaire (Mali) - Centre de formation Ouédraogo Saidou CFOS (Côte d'Ivoire) - Ecole de football de l'Amitié (Côte d'Ivoire) - Kanradji sport (Niger) - Alphabet foot de Dakar (Senegal)
Group B has Centre de formation de la Fédération (Burkina Faso) - Faso athlétic club (Burkina Faso) - Stage foot national solo diamande (Côte d'Ivoire) - Afas de Sokode (Togo) - Sahel sporting club (Niger) - Feyenoord Academy (Ghana) and Djoliba Athletic club (Mali)
Feyenoord Academy of Ghana, the winner of the 2006 edition will defend its title during this tournament whose final is slated for September 1 in Ouagadougou, the Burkina capital.
