A high-level panel discussion was held on Wednesday as part of the GEXIM@10 International Conference, exploring how effective policy frameworks and export performance can strengthen Ghana’s trade competitiveness.
The session brought together trade and industry experts, including Hon. Sylvester Adinam Mensah, Chief Executive of GEXIM; Steve Williams, Advisor at GEXIM; Dhananjay Tripathi, Managing Director of Atlantic Lifesciences Ltd.; and Mohammed Awami, Head of Specialised Business at Nigeria EXIM Bank. The discussion was moderated by JoyFm's Winston Amoah.
Panelists emphasised the critical role of coordinated policies, innovation, and cross-border partnerships in enhancing Ghana’s export capacity and industrial growth.
They highlighted how strategic interventions could position Ghana as a competitive player in regional and global markets.
The discussion forms part of a series of events during the two-day conference, which commemorates GEXIM’s 10th anniversary and reflects on the bank’s contribution to trade facilitation, industrial development, and export promotion in Ghana.
The international conference followed an Agrotech Fair held earlier in the Greater Accra Region, where Ghana’s SMEs were given the opportunity to showcase their goods and services in the fields of agriculture and technology.
