Four Radio Stations have been given the green light by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to run live radio commentaries of the 2008/09 Glo Premier League at the various league centres in the country.
The Radio Stations given the accreditation are Boss FM from Kumasi, Obuoba FM of Nkawkaw and Happy FM and Hot FM both in Accra.
Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of the GFA, in a press release copied to GNA Sports in Accra on Wednesday said the Association would therefore be grateful if officials of the mentioned radio stations are permitted by the Clubs to run radio commentary during league matches.
He said the Association therefore wishes to inform all Premier Clubs, the National Sports Council, Regional Football Associations and the media that so far it is only the four stations that have been given accreditation to run live radio commentary during matches of the league.
Mr Nsiah reiterated the position of the Association on the issue of Radio Broadcast Rights of the League and cautioned that any radio station that has not paid the fee for the Broadcast Rights to desist from running live commentary on any of the matches of the on-going 2008/09 Glo Premier League.
He warned that the Association would take legal action against any radio station that violates the directive.
