The Ghana Football Association says it will begin the search for a new broadcast partner following the collapse of the Gateway Broadcasting Services sponsorship deal for the league. The Football Association signed a US$ 3 million deal with the Pay-Per View television company and news of their dissolution comes as a shock.Gateway's live telecast of the Ghanaian Premier League around the world made it popular and increased its market value.GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi who owns Premier League side Wa All Stars believes the clubs are yet to recover from the liquidation of Gateway."It was unexpected. Nobody thought Gateway Broadcasting Services Limited will wind up within this short while. We have a running contract-three year contract and suddenly the news of the company's liquidation hit us like a blow," Nyantakyi told Ghanasoccernet.com"It has jolted our planning and our financial management. From the stand point of the Football Association is a big blow and very disappointing."From the stand point of the clubs, it's equally so and in addition it's going to deny us some revenue that will have gone to offset the cost of rrunning these clubs," he added."We have to start a new search for a broadcast partner."Source: Ghanasoccernet
