At the end of a pulsating 90 minutes of quality soccer in which both sides were eager to go out of the Ghana 2008 with some honour, Ghana came out the better side.
Ghana came up tops by beating the Ivorians by four goals to two.
Sulley Muntari scored Ghana's opener in the 10th minute.
Ivory Coast equalised in the 24th minute through Buobakar Sanogo.
Sanogo got the second goal for his side in the 32nd minute.
In the 68th minute Quincy Abeyie cancelled the lead.
Junior Agogo made it 3-2 for Ghana in the 80 minute.
Four minutes later in the game, Haminu Dramani slotted in the fourth goal from a long range.
