The Ghana Meteorological Agency is asking Ghanaians to brace up for an abnormal weather pattern.
It follows findings that the sub-region is experiencing abnormal weather variations caused by the global weather phenomenon, La Nina.
This has resulted in increased rainfall with its attendant floods and other disasters.
The Acting Director of the Ghana Meteorological Agency, Minia Zinedema however told Joy News despite its disastrous nature, such weather variations could prove beneficial.
He said for example, parts of the country that usually harvest once a year because of the rain pattern, can plant twice in a year because of the increase in rainfall.
Also, the excess rain water, the Director noted, can be harvested for future use.
