Government has reaffirmed its commitment to restructure the economy in order to secure long-term economic growth and development.
According to Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, a Deputy Trade and Industry Minister, the government is utilising numerous resources across all sectors to assist enterprises.
Speaking at the 2022 Ghana-West Africa Business Excellence Awards, she said the initiative to involve the private sector in government activities are still on track.
She revealed that government is embarking on various innovative ideas, aimed at adding value to resources and the creation of jobs.
“To sustain what the government has done previously, the government of Ghana is launching a number of new concepts aimed at increasing the value of resources and the creation of jobs. We urge businesses across the country to join us to achieve greatness in order to help the economy grow”.
She further urged businesses across the country to work collectively to achieve excellence to support the economy.
“Businesses should collaborate in order to achieve greatness and aid the economy to grow”, she added.
The 5th edition of the Ghana -West Africa Business Excellence Awards brought together business players and recognized the achievements from local and international companies involved in various sectors
The award also recognises and promotes excellence in innovation, enterprise and endeavor, whilst rewarding innovative ideas that have pushed the boundaries of what is possible. It also creates a friendly atmosphere to welcome investors and play significant role in the development of the business economy in Ghana and other parts of West Africa.
