The opening day of the Glo Premier league second round churned out mixed but interesting results at the various league centres. A Samuel Affum 12th minute strike over Heart of Lions proved crucial as Hearts of Oak extended their lead at the summit of the league table to 11 points. At the Obuasi Lenclay Stadium, Ashantigold were held by Wa All stars to another goalless drawn game. Lying third from bottom, the results could prove disastrous for Ashgold and for returnee Coach David Duncan. Sekondi Hasaacas earned vital 2-1 victory at home to Bechem Chelsea. In Berekum, Arsenal kept their home invincibility intact with another goalless drawn game with Sekondi Eleven Wise. Debutant Kessben FC posted an impressive 3-1 win over Tema Youth.
