Another heavy humiliating fall by Hearts in Swedru and an astounding victory by rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in Sunyani have set the Glo Premier League alight, with a photo finish well on the radar.
The league leaders run of poor form continued in week 25 after they were thumped 3-1 by relegation contenders All Blacks at the Swedru Stadium.
A late Stephen Manu strike against Beechem Chelsea etched Kotoko closer to the league title with five matches to go, but with four points to recover from rivals Hearts.
Barely a week after King Faisal inflicted a painful 1-0 defeat on Hearts of Oak with nine men, the Kumasi based side have once chalked another impressive 2-0 victory over Kessben this time with eight men.
Kpando Hearts of Lions surrendered a 2-0 lead in the first half, to draw 2-2 with Hasaacas at the Sekondi Essipong Stadium.
Lions have thus been dethroned from their second position to fourth. Kotoko and Faisal occupy second and third positions respectively.
If life at the top is bubbling with action, the bottom is even more cagey as relegation contenders recorded giant leaps and impressive victories.
Real Tamale United recorded an impressive 2-1 victory over Wa All Stars in Wa. The win provides a breather for Coach Abdul Razak who expressed worry over match fixing .
Ashanti Gold hammered Berekum Arsenals by 2-0 and Liberty at their favorite Carl Reindorf Park piped Sekondi Eleven Wise by 2 goals to 1.
St Mirren appear to have signed their relegation certificate with yet another 1-2 loss to Tema Youth at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.
Another season in division 1 is not a worthy option for Swedru All Blacks, but if they get relegated there is one thing they will be proud of; Beating Kotoko back-to-back and adding Hearts to their list of mighty victims.
