Laryea Kingston is on his way out of Scottish club Hearts with his contract due to run out in the summer.
Kingston's bumper deal runs out in the summer and with the club determined to slash their huge wage bill have decided to let the Ghanaian international and three other big earners walk away.
"These players that are out of contract have now moved on and we wish them all the best," said Hearts manager Jim Jefferies.
"We have got to concentrate now on the players that are here and the players that will come in to strengthen us.
"The wage bill will be greatly reduced and the way you can guarantee that is to assess the people out of contract."
Kingston spent three years at Hearts after joining them from Russian side Terek Grozny and scored 8 times in 51 appearances.
He had his issues under previous coach Laszlo Csaba but was back in favour under Jefferies before the axe finally fell.
