There would be free medical examination for all participants before the event that would begin at the Jubilee Park in Takoradi and end at the Gyandu Park in Sekondi.
The Olympic Day Run was first organised in 1948 by the Internal Olympic Committee to encourage National Olympic Committees to commemorate and celebrate Olympic Day and is open to all categories of people from all walks of life regardless of their athletic ability.
One of the major objectives of the Run is to promote mass participation in sports to advance the health of participants, uphold the Olympic values, enhance socialization and create fun amongst the people.
