A goal in each half handed Inter Allies a 2-0 away win over bottom-placed B.A United on Saturday.
The match day 22 fixture was supposed to be played at the Sunyani Coronation Park but was honoured in Accra due to United’s one match home ban by the Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee.
Ropapa Mensah opened the scoring just in the opening minute when he slammed home a tailored cross from a corner sent from the left with his right foot. Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s boys went on to take control of the counter but failed to produce further goals with the first half ending 0-1 for the ‘Eleven Is To One’ side.
Second half resumes and Emmanuel Nettey would also get his goal within three minutes of restart.
Ropapa Mensah had made an impressive run through the defence but saw his shot got blocked - a lurking Nettey was however available to tap in from close range to help Inter Allies secure a double win over B.A United in the league this season.
The result leaves BA United still bottom with 17 points while Inter Allies have moved up to third on the League log.
In the other Saturday fixture, Wa All Stars travelled to hold Sekondi Hasaacas in a one all drawn game at the Essipong Stadium. Six more match day 22 games come off across various league centres on Sunday.
