The Internal Revenue Service has asked Premier and Division One football clubs in the country to submit names of all their employees to the service to enable it assess them for taxes.They must submit the list of employees, including directors, registered players, sports agents and all others on their pay rolls, to the IRS District offices closest to them.An advertiser’s announcement in the Ghanaian Times of Wednesday, January 31, by the Commissioner of IRS reminded the clubs involved that the Internal Revenue Act 2000 (Act 592) required all clubs to register with the IRS.It asked the 16 Premier clubs and the 48 Division One clubs to pay their “taxes for improved Sporting Facilities.”
