John Mensah has joined Stade Rennes on a six-month contract, the French Ligue 1 club said on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old Mensah, was a free agent after he broke his contract with Olympique Lyon in the last year.
The Ghanaian defender returns to Rennes, a club where he played 67 games in three seasons from 2006 to 2008.
Mensah, who was not included in the Black Stars squad for this month's African Cup of Nations joins fellow national, John Boye, who has been called up by Ghana for the finals in South Africa.
