The owner of a popular bar and restaurant in East Legon, Kikibees, has been killed by unknown assailants.
Bennet Adomah Agyekum was found dead at a house in Madina in the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, October 9.
Reports suggest that this occurred shortly after Bennet left his restaurant earlier that night.
The police stated that the businessman was rushed to the hospital for medical attention but was pronounced dead on arrival.
One person believed to be his girlfriend has been arrested by the police to assist in the investigation.
"The Police have arrested one Yandeh Joof, believed to be the girlfriend of the deceased, in connection with the matter and she is assisting the investigation," a police statement indicated.
The Police is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
Meanwhile, his body has been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
