Kotoko suffered their second home defeat this season as a Nuhu Fuseini inspired Edubiase beat the league holders 2-1 on Friday.
The First Capital Plus Premier League match day 17 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium had all goals produced in the first half.
New Edubiase United shot themselves into the lead just on the 15th minute mark from what was to be their first attacking move as the Nuhu twin brothers combined to beat goalkeeper Isaac Amoako. Alhassan tailored a pass to Fuseini (pictured below) who in turn, made no mistake in burying in his ninth goal of the season.
Kotoko, who had been dominating possession continued to probe for an equalizer and it was centre-back Ahmed Adams who gave them a breather on 27 minutes. He rose high past his markers with a neat header from a corner kick to pull level.

Edubiase however quickly responded after restart in a counter attacking move which saw Kotoko defender fail to trap the ball. Bernard Danso took possession and beautifully placed it past Amoako.
Kotoko coach David Duncan made two substitutions at the start of the game with Amed Toure replacing lanky forward Latif Amadu while Emmanuel Asante also made way for Stephen Oduro.
Ainooson came close to pulling level in the 75th minute as his header from close range just went over the bar. The porcupine warriors continued to dominate the game but failed to convert countless chances that came their way.
Edubiase who had been languishing snatched an important win at the Baba Yara Stadium which moves them level – 22 points with Kotoko.
